DIRTY SHOW 9 - SEMINAR
“Every Mother’s Nightmare” An afternoon with ERIC KROLL
Spend a pleasant afternoon with the photographer Hustler Magazine called,
“A prick with vision”. One of the leading names in modern erotica, Kroll is best known for his 1994 coffee table book "Fetish Girls'', published by Taschen. Selling 200,000 copies, "Fetish Girls,'' is perhaps the most influential and recognized work in modern erotic fetish photography. “Fetish Girls” along with "Eric Kroll's Beauty Parade'' (1997) virtually defined fine art fetish for the twentyfirst century, and helped set the stage for all that has come.
Kroll is a former New York photojournalist who worked for Elle, Vogue, Der Spiegel and many other publications, and taught at the International Center for Photography and the School of Visual Arts; Kroll began focusing exclusively on erotica a decade ago. Kroll has been featured in countless magazine features, TV appearances and videos. He has also edited several books for Taschen Publishing featuring the work of artists such as Eric Stanton and John Willie, as well as Elmer Batters and Bill Ward and of recent The New Erotic Photography Book.
"Like Danny Lyons, I know I am onto something when I'm asked to leave. Yesterday in a cactus national park, a park ranger resembling too closely Smokey The Bear said that he had received reports that a photographer was "off the path taking pictures of naked dolls". I couldn't argue that as they ran a check on my driver's license and asked me about the numerous high heels and boots visible in my car. Days earlier I had invited Mindy to come with me to Tucson and she said that that suggestion was "inappropriate". I gave her a large photo and wrote beneath the image "I will always be Inappropriate". If you come to my seminar I guarantee you inappropriate behavior, sprinkled with my dirty photos. (and maybe even a live model or three)"
